Los Angeles emcee/producer IQ presents his new self-produced single "Free", hot on the heels of previous singles "Faded, "Magic Tricks" and "Everywhere I Go" (Spotify). IQ's last full-length release was IQ Test (Bandcamp). "Garrett is my homie from way back and was my roommate in LA when we recorded his vocals," IQ says about the track. "It started out as a funk/hip-hop track, but I decided to take his vocals and lay them down on a new track, then dropped some new verses."

Los Angeles emcee/producer IQ presents his new self-produced single "Faded", hot on the heels of previous singles "Magic Tricks" (Spotify) and "Everywhere I Go" (Spotify). IQ's last full-length release was IQ Test (Bandcamp). "This one actually was written over the course of a few weeks," IQ says about his new single. "I added new rhymes as I thought of them, and adjusted the lines to make sure I'm not just rhyming, but actually saying what I want to say. But for the hook I just got faded and free-styled off the top."

"I started experimenting with some faster trap beats, came up with a nice little track I was feelin and started spittin some battle type rhymes on it," IQ says about the new single. "I think it's a nice little intro to what I'm about to do."

"I'm releasing this single because I need to start somewhere and I have tons of rhymes that I plan to deliver to anyone who wants to hear them," IQ says about his new single. "I make my own beats, do my own mixing, and record my own vocals. I just started feeling the heat from this beat and decided to let people know how I feel about certain things and even how I got started, and then speed up the flow at the end a little bit Big L style."
