CADO SAN pronounced , [“Cay-Do” San] — is derived from the Japense honorific— a popular term used in Japanese culture. He currently rocks out in his band “Ilovewhiteppl” (SOUNDCLOUD) and his new track iLoveMyBB !! Melodies are on point with the instrumentalities and chorus. Recording Raw as well . All of his inspiration in his name is derived from his love for anime and their music.
We asked a few questions on his recording process, because if you listen to his new track “graveyards” voice sounds natural and distinctive. He mentioned most of his tracks recorded are onetakes/freestyles. He produces his own beats and occasionally outsources with a producer if it is the right situation. This may stem from some of his favorite song/album inspirations all who are raw including a great list: Mac Miller-Swimming, Xavier wulf-switchman, the talking heads- psycho killer, the killing moon-echo and the bunnymen, vampire weekend, puma blue, & Jefferson Airplane.
Also from other influences such as, Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Cowboy Bebop, Lupe Fiasco, Magna, PC Gaming, Poetry, Nujabes, The Killers, Nirvana, a Tribe Called Quest etc.
Most of Cado’s growth has been from Word of Mouth & Live Shows- we asked a few questions to find out about his exposure….
“I’m half hearted about the internet’s relationship with music on one hand, there’s the unlimited possibility of connection and discovery but on the other hand is the dichotomy of influencer driven/label plants vs. organic talented artists and the talented organic artists get the short end of the stick mostly”

HE HAS A SHOW COMING UP ON FEBRUARY 15TH 2019 in Chicago, IL where he currently resides. CADO was born in Chicago, but has lived in Indiana, NY, Oakland, Wisconsin, and Arkansas. He is going back to NY , FEB 16th for another show he is performing in. (click image for tickets)
